Side quests

Things I built for the fun of it.

Gesture Ludo

Play Ludo with your hands. No mouse, no keyboard.

During lockdown, playing Ludo with friends meant juggling two apps: a video call to see everyone and a separate game to play. I wanted the game to feel as natural as playing across a table.

A friend mentioned Google MediaPipe, and I started experimenting with hand tracking. One experiment led to another, and it ended up as a Ludo game that runs in your browser. You roll the dice and move your coins with hand gestures, using just your camera.

Coverly

One place to track what home appliances you own, when its warranty ends and when it's due for service.

Warranty cards and service dates end up scattered across drawers, photos, and old emails. This was a sidequest to see what I could build with the AI tools that became available after the AI boom, applied to a problem everyone has.

I built it with Claude and Google AI Studio, plus supporting tools like Mediafire. The full experience is available in demo mode, so you can explore it without signing up.
